Welcome to my blog, Hope you like it...

I started this Blog to track my progress as I start my crafting journey. It begins with me as a fledgling crafter and hopefully ends with helping to inspire others to create.

Journal/notebook cover

I don't have much to share with you this week as most of the things i'm working on at the moment are gifts so i can't share them until they have been received!
So just a simple offering today. Although this is simple, i am really pleased with this. I love notebooks and journals (& pens but thats another matter!) so i have lots of them. This one in particular was a cheapy from asda. I decided to give it a new lease of life. I painted it with acrylic paint, dried it with a heat gun (i'm impatient) then simply stamped it with the stamps of my choice. Once that was dry i then spritzed with some ink spray.
Hope you like my little offering this week.
Xxx

This is beautiful Kim. I love the gorgeous stamps you used and the colour is fantastic. Im a bit of a nut for journals and notebooks too. Im self taught at bookbinding and in the middle of making my Father in law a Gentleman's Journal for his birthday next week. And as I was sat last night tangled in about 3 feet of waxed thread and sewing signatures of paper together.....I was seriously wondering why I didnt buy a 99p book from Poundland and just decorate the covers! But now I have the actual book sewn and bound, Im happy enough with all my hard work.....but believe me, last night I could have thrown the whole lot out the window, lol. Im seriously thinking about getting my self a bind it all! Decisions, decisions. Brilliant journal, keep'm coming. I love seeing how others decorate and alter books. Lee x
